Job Opening: Fundamental Equity Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fundamental Equity Analyst to join our Research team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting deep-dive industry and company research, creating valuation models, and producing high-quality equity research reports. Your insights will play a key role in shaping investment decisions and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies and sectors to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Develop detailed valuation models using DCF, relative valuation, and other standard techniques.
  • Prepare comprehensive coverage reports and regular company updates, including quarterly previews and reviews.
  • Attend management meetings, company calls, and industry conferences to gather insights and maintain up-to-date sector knowledge.
  • Maintain a well-organized research database for internal and external reference.
  • Lead sector-specific research coverage with a focus on key trends, risks, and developments.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years as a fundamental equity analyst with proven expertise in any of the following sectors:
  • Banking
  • Capital Goods
  • Infrastructure
  • Chemicals
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • QSR (Quick Service Restaurants)
  • New Age Technology
  • Initiating Coverage: Must have independently led at least 3 initiating coverage reports.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing abilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience in working with boutique or mid-sized broking firms is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CA or MBA in Finance
  • NISM certification is an added advantage
