Trainee - Galvanizing Operations, steel mill

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operation of the Continuous Galvanizing Line under supervision
• Learn and follow SOPs related to entry section, furnace, zinc pot, air knives, and exit section
• Monitor basic process parameters such as line speed, strip tracking, temperature, and coating weight
• Support quality checks related to surface finish, coating appearance, and defects
• Assist in coil changeover, startup, shutdown, and housekeeping activities
• Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and permit systems
• Report abnormalities, unsafe conditions, and quality deviations to the supervisor
• Maintain basic production and shift records/logs
• Participate in safety talks, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Industrial Science)
• (or equivalent science graduate as defined by company policy)

Experience

• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in manufacturing / process industry
• Prior exposure to steel or metal processing industry will be an added advantage

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹220,000.00 per year
