Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Surat. The Chartered Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting, preparation and finalization of financial statements, and maintenance of books of accounts. Responsibilities include statutory, tax, and internal audit assignments; preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns; and assisting with tax assessments and representations. The role involves advising clients on tax planning, financial compliance, and regulatory requirements, as well as preparing reports, working papers, and documentation to support audit and assurance engagements. The Chartered Accountant will also collaborate with team members to review work, ensure adherence to professional standards, and support process improvements within the firm.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), with valid membership from ICAI; additional certifications in taxation, auditing, or finance are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and preparation/finalization of financial statements.
  • Experience in statutory audit, internal audit, and compliance reviews for varied industries.
  • Practical understanding of direct and indirect tax laws, including tax return preparation, tax planning, and handling assessments.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and other productivity tools.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards accurately and consistently.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Capability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work in a structured, process-oriented manner.
