Finance Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, banking operations, MIS reporting, fund management, statutory compliance, internal controls, and financial governance across the group companies. The role will support senior management in strategic decision-making, ensure financial sustainability, optimize resource utilization, and drive best practices across the Finance function.
Financial Management & Controllership
- Oversee financial operations and ensure effective financial control across group companies.
- Review and monitor payment processes in line with organizational policies and management directives.
- Analyze financial transactions and prepare summarized reports for management review.
- Support Finance Leadership in achieving organizational financial objectives.
- Ensure financial sustainability through effective planning and control mechanisms.
- Support strategic and operational decision-making through financial analysis and insights.
Budgeting, Planning & Cost Control
- Lead budgeting initiatives across all departments and group companies.
- Develop and implement budget control systems to ensure effective monitoring and utilization of resources.
- Monitor budget performance and identify deviations against approved budgets.
- Present monthly budget variance reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with departmental heads to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Support costing teams in profitability analysis and cost optimization initiatives.
MIS, Reporting & Business Analytics
- Develop, implement, and monitor organization-wide MIS systems and reporting frameworks.
- Review existing reports and eliminate duplication and non-value-added reporting.
- Present consolidated MIS reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Analyze financial and operational performance trends and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure timely availability of management information for strategic business decisions.
- Drive data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiency across departments.
Banking, Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate with financial institutions.
- Prepare and submit banking documentation including CMA data and financial statements.
- Coordinate submission of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual banking requirements.
- Manage fund planning and ensure availability of adequate financial resources.
- Monitor working capital requirements and optimize cash flow management.
- Support salary disbursement and treasury operations as per organizational requirements.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and central government reporting requirements.
- Monitor statutory filings, financial disclosures, and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Coordinate with government, revenue, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Ensure timely submission of subsidy-related documentation and compliance records.
- Support implementation of financial governance frameworks and compliance mechanisms.
Internal Controls, Audit & Risk Management
- Develop and implement robust internal control systems across the organization.
- Strengthen internal audit processes to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Establish safeguards against fraud and financial irregularities.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit teams to identify and address control gaps.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support implementation of best practices in finance, accounting, and governance.
ERP, Process Improvement & Digitalization
- Drive effective utilization of ERP and SAP systems across finance functions.
- Ensure financial process standardization and automation wherever possible.
- Develop accounting manuals, SOPs, and process documentation.
- Monitor compliance with finance-related processes and controls.
- Support digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
- Support management in evaluating financial implications of business decisions.
- Assist in identifying financial resources required to support organizational growth.
- Collaborate with Costing, Accounts, Operations, and other functions to improve profitability.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and business expansion initiatives.
- Act as a business partner in driving organizational performance and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, guide, and mentor finance team members.
- Foster a performance-driven and collaborative work environment.
- Support employee development through coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Drive accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Promote adoption of best practices and financial discipline across the organization.
Mandatory: Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
