CA Fresher – Group Consolidation & Statutory Audit

We are looking for a Qualified Chartered Accountant (Fresher) to join a Group Finance function in a specialist role focused on Group Consolidation, Statutory Audit, and IFRS-based Financial Reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a CA fresher looking to build a strong foundation in corporate finance, multi-entity consolidation, and group-level reporting at a large, multi-geography organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Preparation of Group Consolidation Reports (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual) in accordance with IFRS
- Consolidation of 150+ legal entities across multiple geographies, currencies, and accounting frameworks
- Preparation of consolidated Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow Statements, Segmental Reporting, and Notes to Accounts
- Manage and coordinate Month-End, Quarterly, and Year-End reporting timelines
- Preparation and comparative analysis of key P&L and Balance Sheet schedules for CFO and CEO review
- Peers benchmarking and analysis on key financial KPIs
Statutory Audit & Compliance
- Handling Group Statutory Audit in coordination with Group Auditors
- Review and preparation of all journal and group adjustment entries to ensure group eliminations, IFRS compliance, and financial reporting accuracy
- Ensuring compliance with Group Accounting Policy across all legal entities
Country Interface & MIS
- Coordination with Country Finance Teams and Regional Finance Controllers for timely and accurate reporting
- Review of Monthly and Quarterly MIS and legal entity-wise financials
- Drive standardisation across reporting frameworks and accounting disclosures
Systems & Automation
- Coordination with SAP and BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation) teams for MIS and consolidation-related issues
- Support automation of Group Reporting through SAP BPC
- Assist in implementing new systems and reports to facilitate faster and standardised group reporting
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) — Fresher
- Sound understanding of IFRS or Ind AS
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of SAP and SAP Consolidation Software (BPC) is desirable
- Experience or exposure to alternate consolidation tools such as Hyperion will be an advantage
- Ability to interpret and generate financial data, reports, and statements
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Soft Skills
- Good communication skills — written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with high degree of self-initiative
- Willingness to travel quarterly and during year-end finalisation to corporate office and select geographies
Location
- Chennai (Place of Posting)
- Travel required — domestic and international, for quarterly and year-end activities
