Role Overview
The Senior Sales Manager / Sales Head will spearhead business development and institutional client acquisition for Aikyam Capital’s Institutional Broking & Clearing platform in India. This senior leadership role is focused on driving revenue growth, building strategic institutional relationships, and scaling our domestic and offshore institutional franchise.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive acquisition of institutional clients across broking and clearing services (FPIs, DIIs, and Institutions)
• Build, deepen, and manage long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Formulate and execute go-to-market and growth strategies aligned with institutional objectives
• Lead high-value client pitches, negotiations, and deal closures
• Develop strategic partnerships, referral arrangements, and distribution channels
• Collaborate closely with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Custody teams for seamless onboarding and servicing
• Track revenue, pipelines, and KPIs to ensure achievement of business targets
• Mentor and guide junior sales and business development team members
• Represent Aikyam Capital at industry forums, roadshows, and institutional investor events
What We’re Looking For
12–15+ years of experience in institutional sales or business development within broking, clearing, or capital markets
Strong, proven network across FPIs, DIIs, and Institutional Investors
Deep understanding of institutional broking, clearing, settlement, and capital market infrastructure
Demonstrated success in revenue generation and scaling institutional businesses
Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a platform
Qualifications
• Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or Strategy preferred
• Relevant market certifications (NISM / Exchange certifications) are an added advantage
