Summary

As the Lead - Digital Commerce Apps, you will oversee the enhancement, maintenance, and delivery of digital commerce applications. This role involves managing the entire app development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality output, and seamless integration with production support teams. You will also coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, perform code reviews, manage development tasks, and proactively mitigate risks to ensure app stability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead app enhancement and maintenance tracks for digital commerce applications.

• Conduct daily standups to monitor progress and ensure adherence to sprint timelines.

• Collaborate with the production support team to ensure app stability and prompt issue resolution.

• Perform code reviews to maintain high development standards and identify improvement areas.

• Take ownership of the full lifecycle of digital commerce apps, ensuring optimal performance and quality.

• Actively participate in development tasks to meet critical project deadlines.

• Coordinate with external resources to align deliverables with organizational goals.

• Identify, assess, and escalate potential risks to management for timely mitigation.

Technical Competencies

• Expertise in project management and team collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

• Hands-on experience with app architecture, design, and optimization techniques.

• Proficiency in peer code reviews and branching strategies.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks.

• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices for mobile app development.

• Experience with Dependency Injection Frameworks.

• Familiarity with Android/iOS Architecture Components.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings with strong interpersonal skills.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications in mobile app development, Agile methodologies, or project management are a plus.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in mobile app development and delivery.

Internal Interaction(s)

• Collaborate with Product Teams, IT Operations, and Production Support Teams.

• Engage with leadership and cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business goals.

External Interaction(s)

• Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and resource providers to ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.

• Represent the organization in discussions with third-party app developers and service providers.
