Role Description The Audit Assistant will support audit engagements by performing detailed testing of financial transactions, balances, and controls under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and executing financial audits, reviewing financial statements, and preparing working papers and schedules. The role involves helping draft audit reports, documenting findings, and following up on outstanding queries with clients. The Audit Assistant will also assist in ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining organized documentation and meeting deadlines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, requiring close collaboration with the audit team and direct interaction with client personnel.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Financial Audits and Finance, with an understanding of core accounting and auditing principles.
  • Ability to work with Financial Statements and contribute to the preparation and review of Audit Reports.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support audit conclusions.
  • Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, CA/CPA articleship or similar training preferred).
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic familiarity with accounting or audit software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach to working with clients and colleagues.
