Optical Systems Intern / Fresher – Holographic & Display Technologies

About the Role

We are looking for passionate engineers, innovators, makers, and researchers interested in holographic display systems, optical engineering, visual display technologies, and next-generation human-machine interfaces.

The selected candidate will work on research, design, prototyping, and testing of compact visual display systems involving optical reflections, transparent displays, projection techniques, image formation, light manipulation, and immersive visual experiences.

This role is highly experimental and research-oriented and is ideal for candidates who enjoy building things that have never been built before.

Key ResponsibilitiesOptical Research & Prototyping

  • Research holographic and holographic-like display technologies.
  • Study virtual image generation techniques.
  • Design and test floating image systems.
  • Evaluate projection and reflection-based display concepts.
  • Experiment with optical films, acrylics, lenses, mirrors, and beam splitters.

Display System Development

  • Work with OLED, AMOLED, LCD, and transparent display technologies.
  • Evaluate brightness, contrast, viewing angles, and image quality.
  • Optimize visual performance under different lighting conditions.
  • Study image depth perception and 3D visual effects.

Optical Design & Testing

  • Create optical layouts and proof-of-concept models.
  • Design experimental setups for image projection and reflection.
  • Measure and improve image clarity and viewing experience.
  • Conduct testing and document results.

Rapid Prototyping

  • Build and validate physical prototypes.
  • Support enclosure and industrial design teams.
  • Assist in creating demonstration units and proof-of-concepts.
