Location: Mumbai

Working Days: 6 (Monday – Saturday)

About the Role As an Academic Counsellor, you will be responsible for engaging with prospective learners, understanding their career aspirations, and helping them choose the most suitable upGrad program. You will manage inbound and outbound sales conversations, nurture leads, overcome objections, and drive enrollments while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect with prospective learners through inbound and outbound calls.

• Understand learner requirements and recommend suitable upGrad programs.

• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets by converting leads into enrollments.

• Handle the complete sales cycle from lead qualification to enrollment.

• Follow up consistently with prospects to maximize conversions.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the CRM.

• Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless learner experience.

• Track sales metrics and continuously improve conversion rates.

• Build strong relationships with prospective learners and deliver excellent customer service.

Skills & Experience

• Graduate in any discipline.

• 1–5 years of experience in Inside Sales, B2C Sales, Education Sales, EdTech Sales, Tele Sales, or Counselling.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities.

• Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

• Comfortable working with CRM tools and MS Office.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-focused.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EdTech, Education, Training, high-volume B2C sales environments.

• Prior experience in consultative selling will be an added advantage.
