About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Business Analyst to join our remote team, supporting our operations across Mumbai, Dublin, and Singapore. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations while enabling data-driven decision-making through the development of advanced dashboards and reports. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between compliance teams, business stakeholders, and technology developers, translating complex trade regulations into actionable insights and streamlined processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence global trade strategies, optimize classification procedures, and improve compliance workflows.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or global trade compliance environments, is essential. Demonstrated expertise in global trade regulations, including import/export laws, is required. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are vital for producing clear documentation, SOPs, and detailed reports. The candidate should have a proven ability to independently research complex compliance issues and develop effective solutions. Familiarity with trade classification tools, regulatory databases, and advanced analytics platforms will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with regional trade compliance teams and business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements and functional processes, ensuring they adapt to evolving business needs.
- Maintain and oversee day-to-day global classification processes to support import volumes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international standards.
- Assist with trade classification activities related to technology, hardware, and software, including management of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) classifications.
- Manage compliance activities for both imports and exports, dedicating equal focus to each area to ensure comprehensive adherence to regulations.
- Develop and maintain documented classification justifications based on the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) to support global import classifications.
- Provide import compliance guidance aligned with US and international regulations by conducting research, updating status reports, and coordinating deliverables within the team.
- Build, maintain, and analyze data-informed metrics to generate actionable insights that enhance the global trade compliance program.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless compliance operations.
- Engage with software development teams to understand and influence evolving compliance technology, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Generate performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all activities related to trade compliance projects.
- Support project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of team assignments and objectives, maintaining a focus on quality and compliance standards.
